The Maypole in Wetherden, Suffolk, is a historic 16th-century public house built between 1530 and 1560.
Originally serving as a maltster’s, the inn has been a central village fixture for centuries, historically hosting parish petty sessions.
It has a long history of Landlords and a rich history of being the centre for the community.
Circa 1980, the pub underwent a £50,000 investment from Whitbread, creating the pub you see today.
To this day the ethos of being the centre of the local community still stands, hosting age-old traditions and being the pillar of the local community.
